A Chinese AI livestream product iterated its interaction design: the previous version fed audience comments directly as prompts, which performed poorly since ordinary comments got confused with plot direction. The new version uses voting — the system has an LLM generate candidate prompts, and the audience votes on what happens next. The product evolved from 'chat remote-controlling the AI' to 'audience directing the AI by vote'.
