Sam Altman said in a recent interview that "Astra feels like it has reached human parity at using computers." Given reports that OpenAI bought tens of thousands of Mac minis and Mac Studios specifically for computer-use training, the poster suspects this isn't pure hype.\n\nAsked about the caricature of him as a "YOLO CEO" who doesn't care about AI safety, Altman said he doesn't remember who said that — only to be reminded it was Dario Amodei, to which he replied "I did see that."
