Amazon open-sources Kiro Crew, an agent-based coding client used by 39k internal devs

Amazon has open-sourced Kiro Crew (Apache 2.0), the third product in its Kiro suite following the IDE and CLI. Built with React and Python, it serves as a "chat-first" agent client accessible via browser. Key features include scheduled tasks, sub-agents, browser/computer use, and Slack integration. It has been adopted by over 39,000 Amazon builders internally. While it natively supports only Kiro subscription models, a third-party patch has been released to add OpenAI compatibility, though it currently requires further refinement.
