Nutrient open-sources 0.4B model to fix number hallucinations in documents
Div_pradeep · x · 2026-09-01
Nutrient (formerly PSPDFKit) open-sourced grounding-en, a 0.4B parameter model designed to verify if extracted claims are entailed by the source text, addressing hallucinations caused by truncated context windows. It achieves an AUC of 0.92 in number grounding (vs 0.45–0.66 for standard NLI models) and supports an 8,192-token context to keep tables intact. The model is available on Hugging Face under the Apache-2.0 license.
