NVIDIA is investing $3.5 billion in MediaTek, which will adopt NVIDIA's NVLink Fusion platform to build custom AI chips that plug directly into NVIDIA's rack-scale AI infrastructure. Beyond data centers, the partnership expands to RTX Spark, DGX Spark PC chips, and AI-powered vehicle chips. Even as hyperscalers design custom silicon, NVIDIA aims to ensure these chips live within the NVIDIA ecosystem, evolving from a GPU defender to the infrastructure layer for virtually all AI compute.
