The project SYLVA has been open-sourced. It is a fully procedural cinematic forest that runs directly in the browser.
Technical Specs:
- Uses no downloaded tree models, textures, HDRIs, or terrain heightmaps.
- Terrain, trees, grass, water, sky, clouds, and weather are generated at runtime using Three.js, WebGL2, and GLSL.
- Trees are procedurally grown, and terrain is mathematically generated.
Features:
- Includes dynamic water, atmosphere, vegetation LODs, rain, lightning, wind, storms, fireflies, and a cinematic camera system.
- Offers an interactive EDITOR to modify environments, presets, quality, and weather states.
