AeroVect Shows Real-Time Robot Perception System for Airport Ramps
lukas_m_ziegler · x · 2026-09-01
AeroVect demonstrated the live output of its perception module inside the 'Driver' system for airport autonomy. The module fuses sensor data for real-time detection and tracking of aircraft, vehicles, and people on the airport ramp. The ramp presents a challenging environment with few lane markings, mixed traffic (heavy aircraft, tugs, fuel trucks, pedestrians), and 24/7 operations in all weather. Founded in 2020, AeroVect offers a retrofit product for existing baggage and cargo tractors rather than building new vehicles.
