Tesla FSD slashes emergency braking by up to 84% vs human drivers

Tesla FSD Supervised significantly outperforms manual driving in avoiding emergency braking (AEB) events:
- Highway: 74% fewer AEB activations
- Arterial roads: 80% fewer
- Urban collectors: 81% fewer
- Local access roads: 84% fewer
Harsh braking is also reduced by up to 81%. This improvement is driven by neural nets that allow the car to see constantly, anticipate risk earlier, and drive smoother. Real-world value includes fewer collisions, lower repair and insurance exposure, and improved efficiency. Tesla is already seeing this safety advantage translate into lower insurance premiums for many FSD users.
