Sam Altman reportedly stated that GPT-6, codenamed 'Astra', is approaching human-level performance at using computers. Combined with recent reports that OpenAI bought tens of thousands of Mac minis and Mac Studios specifically for computer-use training, the author believes this might be real. If true, it could signal a massive productivity jump, building on Codex's existing lead in this area.
