HuggingFace's open-source robot duck Microduck sells 10k+ in 5 days at $399

HuggingFace and PollenRobotics released Microduck, an open-source robot duck priced at $399. It sold over 10,000 units in five days, with one sold every four seconds, and orders now ship in 4-6 months. Microduck is 25cm tall, weighs under 800g, and features 15 motors, camera, LiDAR, IMUs, etc. It comes with 7 pre-trained skills like walking, grasping, and self-righting, trained via MuJoCo and PPO. All software and hardware are open-source, and a community called THE FLOCK has been launched. The product has generated over $2.6 million in orders.
