Open-source tool brings DLSS 5 neural rendering outside games, upscaling images and video to 8K

A developer released DLSS 5 Visual Enhancer, an open-source Windows app that runs NVIDIA's DLSS 5 feature-18 neural-rendering pipeline through the ReShade/RenoDX path for arbitrary image and video enhancement, not just in-game upscaling.
Key features:
- DLAA/native, 1.5x, 1.724x, 2x and 3x modes, output up to 8K
- Neural presets plus Natural/Cinematic styles with controls for intensity, local tone, structure and skin structure
- Batch image processing with before/after previews
- H.264/HEVC/AV1/ProRes video output, temporal input via optical flow with scene-change resets
- RTX 40/50 series as primary target; RTX 30 via a slower beta path
The repo ships the app/pipeline source (proprietary runtimes not redistributed); it's an independent community project unaffiliated with NVIDIA. The author is especially interested in behavior on AI-generated content vs. real photography/game footage.
