OpenAI reportedly buying tens of thousands of Macs for agent training

Reports indicate that AI labs like OpenAI have purchased tens of thousands of Mac mini and Mac Studio units for AI reinforcement learning training. OpenAI is using these Macs to train AI agents and is in urgent need of more such hardware. Additionally, Anthropic has been reported renting Mac minis from AWS, and some startups are building Mac-exclusive cloud services to meet the surging demand for Apple hardware.
