UChicago's Myo Action research shortens intention-action gap via ultra-fast EMG loop
plopesresearch · x · 2026-09-01
Researchers at the University of Chicago developed Myo Action, an augmentation technology designed to minimize the latency between human intention and physical movement. Utilizing an ultra-fast EMG and muscle-stimulation loop, the system creates a closed-loop feedback mechanism for near-instantaneous reaction. This work, accepted for CHI2026, includes a published paper and a demo video showcasing its potential in neural interfaces and human augmentation.
