Apple Sues Former Engineer for Allegedly Feeding Trade Secrets to OpenAI

According to a Reuters report, Apple filed a lawsuit alleging that former electrical engineer Chang Liu misappropriated trade secrets. The complaint claims Liu downloaded power-converter schematics after leaving Apple and ran simulations on a Mac mini using LTspice. Apple alleges he used this confidential data to train an AI agent to automate the process of running LTspice, inspecting results, and tuning parameters within an OpenAI workflow.
