Google's 330M TimesFM-3 Beats Rivals in Time Series Forecasting
anselm · x · 2026-09-01
Google released TimesFM-3, a 330M parameter foundation model for zero-shot multivariate forecasting. It significantly outperforms Amazon's Chronos 2 and Toto 2.0 across major benchmarks in a single forward pass. Its small size allows local deployment alongside LLMs, enabling agents to predict business trends (e.g., sales, promotions, weather) accurately without forcing the LLM to guess patterns.
