Hyper3D's WorldGen Turns One 2D Image Into an Interactive 3D World
anselm · x · 2026-09-01
Hyper3D (Deemos) released WorldGen, a world-generation model that creates a full 3D scene with physics from a single 2D image.
Key points:
- Independent foreground objects: furniture and props can be pulled out as movable, replaceable sub-3D models; the background is represented with 3DGS.
- Inferred physics: the model understands spatial layout and infers collision, mass, and friction properties.
- Production-ready: assets export to Blender, Unity and other engines for game levels, film, XR, and robot/manipulator simulation training.
Built on their Best Paper Award project CAST.
