Compound Engineering 3.24.0: Speeds Up Long Autonomy and Sharpens Code Review
kieranklaassen · x · 2026-09-01
Compound Engineering 3.24.0 is out, focusing on faster long autonomous runs and improved code review capabilities:
- Parallel Optimization: ce-work better parallelizes independent plan units to prevent ambitious projects from taking longer than necessary.
- Specific Reviews: ce-code-review can now enforce rules from a repo-owned CODINGSTANDARDS.md file. It anchors framework checks to concrete, diff-observable conditions, adding 9 defect shapes while reducing subjective "could be better" opinions from blocking merges.
- Model Support: OpenCode is now supported for ce-work, ce-pov, and cross-model doc and code reviews.
- Debugging: ce-debug seeks out a repeatable failing repo before generating hypotheses.
