Unofficial Linux Copilot desktop app rebuilt in GTK4, ships at just 9MB
unixterminal · x · 2026-09-01
A fresh cut of copilot-desktop-gtk, an unofficial Copilot desktop app for Linux, is out. Built on .NET 11 with AOT, self-contained and trimmed to just 9MB; UI uses GTK4 and WebKitGTK via Gir.Core; shipped via Flatpak with the latest GNOME 50 runtime. Notably, the GitHub repo doubles as a Flatpak repo hosted on GitHub Pages with GPG signing — a zero-cost self-update distribution setup.
