Microduck, a $399 robot duck from Hugging Face's Pollen Robotics, has garnered over $2.6M in pre-orders within 24 hours, resulting in a 4–6 month backlog. Standing 25cm tall and weighing under 800g, it ships with seven trained behaviors and allows users to upload custom ones. This consumer success contrasts sharply with the expensive, industrial-focused robotics industry.
