AWS launches Agent Registry for scalable agent and tool governance
AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-09-01
AWS announced the general availability of AWS Agent Registry to address challenges in discovering, governing, and auditing agents and tools at scale. It provides a unified, searchable catalog for agents, tools, and skills (including MCP servers). The system features a Governance Plane for admins to enforce policies and a Discovery Plane for consumers to find approved resources via semantic search. Companies like Southwest Airlines and PepsiCo are using it to eliminate redundant development and maintain enterprise compliance.
