OpenAI Grants $10M in API Credits for Semiautomated Alignment Research

Geoffrey Irving acknowledged a $10M API credit grant from OpenAI to support semiautomated alignment theory research. He explicitly stated that Resolution made the choice to accept funding from AI labs (and lab-adjacent sources in the future), acknowledging it as a tradeoff. Resolution has previously raised $160M and hired 15 technical staff.
