PhoneLLM: Open-Source Voice Agent Model with Sub-100ms Latency
altryne · x · 2026-09-01
PhoneLLM is a new open-weights model specifically trained for voice agent tasks, achieving sub-100ms Time To First Token (TTFT) on the inference side. It addresses the needs of enterprises running LLMs on their own infrastructure for compliance and cost, solving the issue where previous LLMs were too slow for real-time voice interactions due to test-time compute demands.
