Steve Yegge's comic shows an AI agent writing its own handoff as context hits 233k

Steve Yegge published episode #5 of his AI comic strip The Wheelhouse, "Critical Note," along with the real receipts behind it: a transcript of a conversation with his AI seneschal (a Fable seat).

The log shows the agent, upon hitting 233k tokens of measured context (red), handling SLO rulings, writing and arming a handoff sheet, then cycling itself — "your next message reaches the fresh session with everything in hand." Seventeen seconds later a new session booted from the handoff sheet. A neat real-world demo of automatic context handoff in long-running agents.
