Hugging Face's MicroDuck: an affordable bipedal robot for RL and sim-to-real
ShawnHymel · x · 2026-09-01
Embedded engineer Shawn Hymel says he's genuinely excited for Hugging Face's MicroDuck — an affordable bipedal walking platform that lets people experiment with reinforcement learning algorithms and tackle the sim-to-real gap, which he notes is quite tricky from personal experience. Low-cost hardware like this lowers the barrier for the robotics learning community.
