An HN user flags that Anthropic's '20x usage' marketing for the $200 Claude Max plan is misleading: the multiplier only applies to the 5-hour rolling window, not the weekly limit. Many users assumed it meant 4x total usage over the $100 5x tier, which is not the case.
A lawsuit alleging false advertising over the subscription usage limits has been filed, per CNET. Paying users are advised to check their actual usage patterns before choosing a tier.
