Emad Mostaque: Human economic life expectancy ends in 2 years due to AI
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-09-01
Emad Mostaque, founder of Stability AI, made radical claims in an interview. He argued that companies with fewer or no humans will outcompete those with them. Junior hiring in law is decreasing as they just "push a button on AI". Entry-level jobs will go first as asset owners leverage compute instead of managing grads. He stated that your "economic life expectancy" effectively ends in 2 years because human teams sleep, make errors, and get grumpy, making their cognitive value negative.
