Responding to John Carmack's question about whether Scratch ever produced successful programmers, yacineMTB shared his parenting approach: he set up an emulated Unix system for his son, locking desired content (like a lane 8 music video the kid loves) behind challenges the child must beat. He uses a Raspberry Pi keyboard computer casting to his TV (measured 100ms latency) with his own SSH keys configured.
