Minimax H3 short film with native sync sound: a two-pass ComfyUI workflow

For the ComfyUI sync-sound challenge, the author built a Brutalist short film "IN TRANSIT" with Minimax H3, where a square wave forces matter to shatter along ruthless 90-degree orthogonal logic (checkerboard water, cubic collapses, square clouds).
The workflow splits into two passes. Generation (Ref2Vid): visual references made with Nanobanana, plus an Ollama node (Gemma 26b) in ComfyUI to auto-format prompts into H3 syntax; with Spectrum Apply Minimax H3, Comfy Kitchen attention and the Sol-Attn Patch, base clips render at 864x480 on a single 3090. Latent Upscale: to keep the raw concrete texture and avoid the plastic look of external upscalers, selected clips pass through latent space via custom MMH3Tools nodes (base video + same references + same prompt), upscaled to 1344x768 with the Turbo LoRA 4-step and Sage Attention (1 minute per second of video).
The hardest part was generating audio and video natively with zero post-production sound design: H3 sometimes copies references too literally, but the final pneumatic suction synced perfectly with matter collapsing into the void; post-work was only cuts and volume balancing.
