After months moonlighting as an AI trainer, a consultant sees junior consultant jobs disappearing

A technology consultant shares first-hand observations from months of 'AI training' gig work on Reddit:
- The specialized models he trains can produce presentation-ready decks in minutes that used to eat large chunks of consultant time, generating 3-6 versions per prompt for humans to mix and reuse.
- The gigs pay decently — $50-100/hour to review and sort model outputs for training — with lawyers and medical professionals also on the projects.
- But it's unstable work: projects start and end abruptly, and 'AI Agents' watch your screen, offboarding anyone not diligent.
His conclusion: these models will clearly take over junior consultant and entry-level specialist jobs.
