TypeScript 7.0 is officially released, delivering a 10x speedup by porting the compiler to Go. Benchmarks show VS Code full build dropping from 125.7s to 10.6s, and Sentry builds speeding up by 8.9x, with memory usage down 26%. Teams like Slack and Canva report massive CI time reductions. The release also drops ES5 target and baseUrl, and enables strict mode by default.
