Robotics company Figure launched Index, touted as the world's largest and most diverse robot training dataset. Comprising over 16M real-world videos collected via a mobile app over the past 4 months from contributors in 108 countries. Figure has paid out $15M to creators and plans to spend over $1B on data and compute in the next 12 months to solve the data bottleneck for robot generalization.
