Lawsuit math: Claude Max "5x" plan delivers only ~3.5x Pro's weekly usage
sidjustice_ · x · 2026-08-31
Anthropic was sued in June over allegedly misleading usage-limit marketing for Claude Max. Per Anthropic's own weekly estimates cited in the lawsuit:
- 5x plan: 3.5x Pro's weekly usage
- 20x plan: 6x Pro's weekly usage
- Pay 2x more, get roughly 1.7x more weekly usage
The suit claims Anthropic sells "5x / 20x more usage" without meaningfully explaining weekly limits at purchase — and this predates Fable. The case is ongoing; these are allegations, not court findings.
