A 27-year-old Taiwanese user documents a months-long ordeal: OpenAI's age verification mistook their ID issuance date (Sept 2014) for their birth date, and the account was deleted as "under 13." An appeal was confirmed by Trust & Safety in February; in April, support acknowledged in writing that the birth year had been misinterpreted. Yet after resubmitting verification in late August per instructions, an unexplained decision upholding the deletion arrived in about five minutes, with no reason or reference number. They are asking for a real human review and warning others not to send documents via Reddit DMs.
