Lawsuit reveals Claude $200 plan offers only ~2x weekly usage of $100 tier
kimmonismus · x · 2026-08-31
Investigation reveals misleading pricing in Anthropic's Claude Max plans. While the $200 'Max 20x' plan offers 20x usage within a 5-hour session, its independent weekly cap is only about double that of the $100 'Max 5x' plan—sometimes even less—rather than the 4x implied by the name. This discrepancy stems from ambiguous marketing language. A proposed class action filed in June alleges that Max 5x delivers only 3.5x the weekly usage of Pro, while Max 20x delivers just 6–8x.
