Dev ships Seek Peak, a one-page tool to check DeepSeek's peak/off-peak billing windows
NoNeOffUs · reddit · 2026-08-31
DeepSeek's API bills peak hours at 2× the off-peak rate, and figuring out which window you're in outside UTC is annoying. A developer built Seek Peak (seekpeak.dev):
- Shows whether the current time is peak or off-peak, converted to your local timezone
- Displays the next peak/off-peak transition and relevant DeepSeek pricing
- Handles the weekend rule: Saturdays and Sundays (Beijing time) are off-peak all day
- No login required; runs as a single self-contained HTML page
Actual billing math always uses UTC; local time is display-only. Open-sourced on GitHub.
