OpenAI reportedly buying tens of thousands of Macs for RL training

Reports indicate OpenAI has purchased tens of thousands of Mac minis and Mac Studios for reinforcement learning and computer use training. Anthropic is also reportedly mass-renting Mac minis via AWS. This signals a severe compute shortage and validates Apple Silicon's effectiveness for these workloads.
