NLP Scholar: Current models are not at 'civilization level'

An NLP researcher clarified that they never subscribed to the 'stochastic parrot' view and are fine with anthropomorphic terms in context. However, they argued that what is happening now is simply not at the 'civilization level' and calling it such is too much of a stretch.
