Fragmented ChatGPT chats accidentally became a timestamped archive of my life

A Reddit user discovered that months of scattered ChatGPT conversations—screenshots, WhatsApp logs, photos, files uploaded piecemeal to make sense of a difficult relationship—had unknowingly formed a timestamped archive of her life.

After an escalating real-world incident involving a suspected fraudulent prescription in her name, a police call, and signs of deleted messages, she realized the fragmented chats could help separate contemporaneous information from retrospective interpretation: asking what she knew on a given date, which screenshots existed before later events, whether a deleted DM was visible in an earlier upload.

She finds it fascinating and slightly terrifying that data uploaded before anyone knew where things were heading may now serve as independent evidence.
