Open-source tool bridges ChatGPT Web to bypass Codex usage limits
algo_diver · x · 2026-08-31
The GitHub project codex-chatgpt-web enables users to natively use ChatGPT Web (including Pro) within the Codex app. Acting as a bridge, it utilizes an embedded browser to send task context to a fresh ChatGPT Temporary Chat and streams back responses, reasoning, and tool activity. This approach claims to offer better session stability and more natural context transfer compared to conventional MCP integrations. For Codex Max subscribers, this effectively allows near-unlimited usage by bypassing weekly quota limits.
