量子位 · wechat · 2026-08-31
Zhongqing Robotics CEO Zhao Tongyang revealed a strategic pivot, allocating 60% of resources to developing the "brain" (embodied AI) rather than just hardware. Former XPeng autonomous driving head Li Liyun joined as CTO to launch the five-layer Engine AI Awaken architecture. Zhao emphasized the industry is entering an elimination round where brain capabilities and ROI are critical, with the T800 robot already piloting in Luxshare factories.
