ChatGPT long threads now ~10x faster, performance boost available in open source Codex

OpenAI staff announced that long threads in ChatGPT and Codex desktop are now approximately 10x faster. This optimization addresses the rapid evolution of agent usage and the race against app performance. The improvements are also available in the open-source Codex app-server, allowing the broader community to benefit.
