AI Commoditizes Software, Making Open Source the Default Business Model

Greg Isenberg observes a massive trend of open sourcing everything across the industry. The driving force is AI, which has turned software itself into a commodity, making it difficult to sell standalone.
Consequently, the business model is shifting fundamentally: instead of selling the software code, companies now sell the ecosystem around it—hosting, support, enterprise tiers, trust, and community. Open source is becoming the new default.
