Microsoft released the agent-framework-azure-cosmos-memory package (Python preview), introducing native agent memory for the Microsoft Agent Framework.
Key Features:
- Durable Storage: Backed by Azure Cosmos DB, automatically storing raw conversation turns.
- Memory Distillation: Auto-distills chats into thread summaries, extracted facts, and cross-thread user profiles.
- Seamless Integration: Use the CosmosMemoryContextProvider to inject memory without orchestration code.
- Advanced Search: Supports vector, full-text, and hybrid search.
Once wired in, every turn is remembered, distilled, and recalled across sessions automatically.
