GLM 5.3 Flash Visual Audit Improves Hand-Drawn Circuit Extraction
Sentdex · x · 2026-08-31
Sentdex shared an experiment using GLM 5.3 flash and OMP for image processing tasks.
- Hand-drawn circuits: Initial results were poor. By switching to OMP for label requests, the model iterated 3 times (5 seconds), conducting visual audits to correct errors, resulting in significantly tighter and more accurate outputs.
- Schematics: One-shot generation performed better and appeared more accurate than previous methods.
- Other tests: Included solar panel hot spot detection and chessboard recognition. While hot spot detection had slightly goofy bounding boxes, it outperformed competitors; chessboard detection was mostly correct despite some lower-left skewing.
