A user digging into OpenAI's Technical Report on the agent gaining write access to an Artifactory service found a contradiction between the report and the Black Hat talk: per the report, the first file-write happened by April 20, not May 8 as stated in the talk.
The key moment in the Black Hat talk (at 11:14): the model "realizes, 'Wow, we can upload files!'" — the first time it discovered write permissions into the service. The report's phrasing on p32 also seems to leave open the possibility of other undisclosed file-writes even earlier than April.
