DialKit: open-source dial interfaces your AI coding agent can wire up
thisiskp_ · x · 2026-08-31
DialKit is an open-source tool for tuning UI in real time via physical-feeling dial controls overlaid on the page — adjust font weight, spacing, and spring physics live. It gained traction after KOL resharing.
- Install via npm install dialkit, add <DialRoot /> to your layout, then attach controls to any component with the useDialKit hook.
- Designed for AI coding agents: the recommended flow is simply prompting your agent (e.g. "add DialKit controls to this card's hover animation for visualDuration, bounce, and shadow blur") and letting it wire everything up.
- Supports grouped controls in folders and action buttons (e.g. replay animation), suited for tuning layout spacing, toast animations, and modal physics.
