Causes include apps replacing social interaction, weaker social bonds, and remote work. The author argues that as AI assumes roles like therapists, teachers, friends, and work agents (AI-to-AI), direct human conversation will plummet. We are being woven into a web feeding the AI brain while becoming increasingly atomized.
