Leak: Google Gemini 3.8 Flash coming soon with major quality boost

According to a new leak, Google's next Flash model, internally codenamed "skinaki" (Gemini 3.8 Flash), is coming soon. Early testing suggests DeepMind has fixed many issues affecting previous Flash models. Testers report that 3.8 Flash produces noticeably less "slop," potentially making it a much bigger upgrade than the version number implies.
