Claude Code is starting to look RLM-like, agent harnesses must get more programmatic
CShorten30 · x · 2026-08-30
On the Weaviate Podcast, Alex Zhang discusses how Claude Code is evolving toward RLM (Reasoning LM) patterns: it can dynamically fan out sub-agents, but its fixed set of generated programs still limits the model from choosing whatever decomposition best fits the problem — RLMs put that choice back in the model's hands.
His take: agent harnesses may need to become more programmatic, and dynamic workflows could be only an early step.
