ICE plans to spend $2M on robot dogs for immigration enforcement

According to NBC News, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to spend up to $2 million to purchase robot dogs for immigration enforcement operations. A DHS official stated that the dog-like robots, equipped with cameras and chemical-detecting sensors, would be used in situations potentially unsafe for officers. The robots appear similar to Boston Dynamics' quadruped models.
